Located on the waterfront in Honolulu, this 150,000 square-foot highly sustainable medical research center is comprised of one four-story and one six story building. Some of the systems features are low-e small missile and large missile impact glazing, decorative glass shadow boxes and weather exposed stainless steel anchors and embeds. Systems are designed to withstand environmental and seismic loads.
CDC provided full engineering services including: system design assistance, shop drawings, fabrication drawings and structural calculations for the unitized curtain wall and stainless steel cladded stick built curtain wall. In addition, CDC provided shop drawings, fabrication drawings and engineering for the unitized curtain wall performance mock-up.
