Project Description

The U.S. Consulate in Mumbai is part of a larger program to construct diplomatic facilities. The program is designed in "layers" of increasing privacy, and the exterior materials were selected to contrast the current (sheltered) society and the hoped-for, future (free and open) society - heavy stone mass building vs lightweight metal canopy structures.

Scope of Services

CDC provided shop drawings, fabrication drawings, engineering and calculations for the 3-centimeter thick Desert Pink Sandstone and all associated anchorage.
