Project Description

This four-story, 74,000-square-foot building is used as the Student Services Building, while also containing large public areas for meetings. After its completion, the building was awarded LEED Platinum status.

Scope of Services

CDC designed and engineered the limestone sunshade system which was a thin, prestressed rod system giving the appearance floating shades. CDC also designed the spring tensioning system, which holds the rods in tension year round, to prevent slackening and shortening from thermal expansion/contraction during the summer and the winter months.
