Project Description

Ohio State University Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering & Chemistry Building is a new, combined laboratory and office building for the main campus. It features unitized glass and aluminum curtain wall systems with horizontal and vertical sun shading devices integrated into the curtain wall design. The lobby area of the building is enclosed by a serpentine, glazed aluminum wall system with mullions sloped both inward and outward to create visual differentiation from the clean vertical and horizontal lines of the laboratory and office towers.

Scope of Services

CDC provided design assistance through the project documentation phase, including specification writing, detail development, review/comment on design documentation at various junctures during development, review of facade bid packages during facade procurement, and on-site observation of installation and field testing for quality assurance.
