1450 Brickell

Miami, Florida

Project Description

Located in the Brickell Financial District of Miami, this all-office tower stands at 40 stories tall and contains approximately 580,000 square feet of office space. The building has been pre-certified Gold by the LEED Green Building rating system. Billed by the Owner as the "most wind-resistant glass sided office tower in the nation," it was tested to a design wind pressure of 183 PSF and an overload wind pressure of 275 PSF. The complex geometry of the building included inside corners, outside corners, "pop-outs" on the main elevations, both sloping and inverted sloping setbacks, and the inverted southeast wall transitioning to a single corner above level 21.

In 2011, 1450 Brickell was named the Most Innovative Protective Glazing Project by the Crystal Achievement Awards.
